I remember when every game that wasnโt a student break had a sold out lower bowl. The upper bowl by contrast is almost empty. Iโd venture if you took away season ticket holders theyโve only sold a few dozen tickets up top.
I hope we can be somewhat competitive in this game. We were blown out by them in 2024 when we still had Milicic, Jackson and Patterson.
Memphis was way too athletic for us last year. Would expect the gap has widened further.
I would prepare for the worst. To say Iโm pessimistic about this game would be a gross understatement.
Donโt know if Tigers are more athletic than last yearโs squad that imploded in league play following the season and career ending injury to Caleb Mills. Biggest difference is the 2024-25 Tigers are a โteamโ in the real sense that has meshed for the most part. Do seem to get bored at times, as shown by the home loss to Arkansas State and the too close for comfort win over ECU.
Two words: complete blowout. It will be embarrassingly excruciating to watch and best of all itโs on the Deuce for the nation to see how awful we are and how far weโve fallen and continue in that total free fall.
If it makes you feel any better, itโs been so long since we were decent I donโt think anyone will be watching and thinking โman, Charlotte has gotten so bad.โ
Itโs expected now. We are in the bottom 1% of all teams for last conference tournament game won.
You just canโt luck into being this bad after being as good as we were, no matter how much people say so.
Its not bad luck, its bad hires
After a couple of close calls, Tigers stub their toe in AAC play vs Temple.
Correct. And the bad hires donโt hire themselves. From how high up are these bad hires originating? For the record, I agree with you.
Spread is 19.5โฆ at homeโฆ We might lose by 30.
Munz prediction: 80-67 Tigers.
The New Jerseys are sick
20 years!?!?!?! Damn Iโm old.
This will actually only be the 16th time the teams have played each other. 9-6 UofM.
Just watching todayโs Eye on College Basketball Podcast and interesting tidbit from Parrish about Memphis - over past two seasons, Tigers are 13-4 vs P5 while 14-9 vs AAC.
Both Parrish and Norandler think thereโs no reason to be worried about Tigers after loss to Temple. Latter said UofM can take a couple of losses in league play and still be okay as concerns NCAAT.
