No one knows what would have happened if the game had started at 7; bottom line the 4pm start decision was belittling to our team and itโs not unreasonable to think such disrespect may have affected our guys play. Iโm a 25 year season ticket holder and thatโs the only game I missed that year. Some of you may be able to leave at 2 or 3 on Fridayโs but I wasnโt able to.

What we do know is that Dewhurst and Sherrill still wouldnโt have played due to injury.
We also know that Spears and Wilderness still would have been unavailable due to suspension.
Yes, of course itโs plausible that the game ended in a different outcome. Which would have meant a 11-19 season instead of 10-20.
To be honest, if we could get a do over, Iโll take 1977 vs Marquette in the Final Four.
Gonna miss the game tomorrow night due to a prior engagement but I look forward to the Niners slapping the Bulldogs on ESPN+

Most days I feel like a fan until I see real fans remember details of a season opener to a non-name team 14 years ago. I barely recall the details of the Richmond game.
