2024-25 49er MBB Game #6 vs East Tennessee 11/27 2PM ESPN+

Didnā€™t catch Coach on post-game so didnā€™t hear about what happened to Rosado that kept him out for the rest of the game. Seems like same olā€™ same olā€™ - injuries, foul trouble, FT shooting woes, etc.

Oh well, nice homecoming for the Bucs from Charlotte and Concord.

Good thing we raised those ticket prices

Well guys, looks like we arenā€™t very good. Iā€™m glad we have a football coach to hire so we have some excitement this winter. We can even speculate faux scenarios of success instead of just living the endless pit of misery that is the reality of being a Niner fan.

Itā€™s a knee injury. Coach was talking they would have to see what it is, but was already mentioning itā€™s going to mean more time for others.

I didnā€™t see anything happen. We had lost of folks hit the floor, but Iā€™m not remembering seeing Rosado get hurt.

Rosado being hurt is huge. Offense does not function well without him

Bottom line we lost 4 starters from last year and we are not very talented individually. They can still be decent but have to play as one.

We have no one that can create their own shot when needed. No one.

Folkes is a great kid but he struggles dribbling, shooting and making good decisions. Good defender though.

This team doesnā€™t seem very sure handed. We have trouble securing rebounds, loose balls, etc. That wasnā€™t an issue for us last year.

Sorta hoping Jaylen Cross wasnā€™t in attendance to see this beat down.

Last year we had 3 players that now start for power conference teams. Nobody on this team would start for a top 100 team unfortunately. Just a collection of role players that would be nice-to-haves off the bench somewhere that they donā€™t have to be the guy.

This is an 8-12 win team IMO.

Thereā€™s no reason to pile on. We arenā€™t good and short of a coaching miracle we wonā€™t be due to a talent deficit.

Jay Bilas is having the longest tantric orgasm ever watching programs like ours wither and die in the NIL era.

It couldnā€™t be going any closer to plan than this. Unless we land a rich savior we will never be competitive again.

I donā€™t suppose any of you are secretly the heir to a shoe company or hotel chain fortune are you?

Maybe itā€™s time we start a GoFundMe to buy dignity back for our basketball program?

We dont have to die in the nil era. Pur nil, while not where it needs to be, i guarantees is way better than liu or etsu, or probably at least a few teams that will dance this year

This is going to be a long year.

Advocate I feel your pain and your point in general but we were playing ETSU. Do they have a mega rich benefactor?

Hell, we donā€™t even approach the rim to ATTEMPT a rebound. Look closely next time. Nick puts up a three and we have 6ā€™-9"/6ā€™-10"/6ā€™-8" standing around behind the 3-point line.

A place like ETSU has guys who are looking for PT. Certainly isnā€™t for the money. Not everyone can play the NIL game.

Yes Iā€™ve been around forever. Seen the great and bad up to now.
My take: weā€™re awful. In todayā€™s collegiate sports climate weā€™re NEVER going to be good again. If by some MIRACLE we are good again, the team will transfer like all the other good players we used to have. As emotionally emeshed as I am with our school and our athletics, I would really like to just step away for my own sanity and mental health, but itā€™s going to be difficult. Like kicking an addiction. But todayā€™s game and the one last week have about done me in. Iā€™ve decided not to go to the davidson game and take baby steps towards what, I donā€™t know. But Iā€™m just exhausted by it all.

We have PT too.

My point being we should not be this uncompetitive with ETSU.
