Yes, Oden out for the season.
According to Trevor on post-game, Coach wants team attempting thirty 3s per game. Had 23 tonight.
Seems more than minor at this point.
Our bench gave us almost nothing tonight.
One way to look at things is that two starters were out - Oden (all season) and Rosado (day-to-day). So under normal circumstances, a couple of tonightâs starters who scored double figures would typically have come off the bench, thus most likely adding to that stat. Of course, thatâs playing the âwhat ifâ scenario.
all but 8pts came from starters tonight, non existent? whatâs a stronger word?
Saw Queen in concert back in the day and Freddie Mercury was wearing those exact Hickory High shorts. Conflicted about who wore them the best.
Ugh, I hate losing to Davidson. We clearly miss Rosado and have not been nearly as fluid offensively since his injury. That last possession was frustrating tooâŚâŚexpect coach will be drilling that in practice today when we could have gotten a shot off much faster.
Yep, Coach was clearly frustrated with that last possession during the post-game with Matt and Trevor.
Nika still behind from injury. Really top 3 guys Fearn brought in are not able to help
Trying to be patient. I know we have some injuries.
This game used to be a marquee event, and sold out every year in both arenas. Really didnât feel like that yesterday.
I donât know how to watch our basketball team anymore and not remember what it used to be like.
Definitely a thin crowd. This game should really be on a Saturday. It would be good for everyone. Make it the first Saturday in December each year and make it into more of an event.
Yep, this game should always be on a weekend to maximize attendance.
In looking at other local/regional non-con rivalry games, three are happening this Saturday - Cincy vs Xavier, Kentucky vs Louisville, and Oklahoma vs OK State.
And Marquette vs Wisconsin was this past Saturday.
clt blames davidson for a crappy crowd. we would take over the second level in a sea of green chanting âjunior collegeâ
donât be cowards davidson, open up ticket sales
I think Davidson likes the Tuesday. For years they wouldnât play a true non conference road game while school was in session.
I donât know if they still do that, but playing on a Tuesday allows them open their schedule just a little bit.
I wish we did not accomdate that wish.
Frustrating to watchâŚdisappointing loss.
Up 44-41 at halfâŚI felt moderately comfortable. But, the Niners scored only 8 points up until about 6 or 7 minutes left in the gameâŚ8!!! So with maybe 6 or 7 minutes to go, then we got going. 14 minutes to score 8. The defense was good enough to keep the Niners in the game, but the second-half offense doomed us. That was painful to watch.
Upon moving to NC 27 years ago, the Davidson vs UNCC game was my favorite every year. The Niners fans would help to pack Belk and the crowd was loud no matter what was happening on the court. Back then the Niners were a perennial participant in the Big Dance. Davidson lost all the games at Halton and basically only split at the Arener.
My how times have changed. Many fans donât seem to value this annual matchup, but I still do. I have a season ticket for both teams, so I donât think I have missed one yet.
Go Cats, win the brain on a stick!
clt says this jabroni gets it
