2024-25 AAC Basketball

Penny finally gets the crowd he wants at FedEx but so far the #21 Tigers look like crap. Already down double digits just 7+ minutes in.

Memphis gonna get coal if something doesn’t change.

Crowd is great but what an atrocious half of basketball by Memphis. Bulldogs came to play. Haggerty only Tiger who’s really shown up with half of the team’s points.

Actually just watching the Memphis vs Mississippi State game. Or as Steve Lappas keeps saying - Memphis State!

Pretty embarrassing for AAC to be on national TV as the lead-in to the CBS Sports college hoops doubleheader at MSG and to be getting asses kicked. Still a lot of time but not getting any sense Tigers can rally like they did vs UVA.

When Mr. Cliche says he watches hoops, he means it:

If this is the Memphis team that shows up in league play, then it’s a wide open race all the way to Fort Worth.

Celebrating by laying a big :poop: on national TV! Woohoo!

First game Mississippi State has played this season with the same starting lineup in back-to-back games.

Apparently will also be Dawgs first road win vs a ranked team since 2010.

One crazy thing - until today, last regular season matchup in Memphis occurred in 1984 for schools only 160 miles apart.

Jay Wright trying to say some positive things about UofM on post-game then Wally Szczerbiak shoots back with “You gotta be ready to play on CBS.” Ouch!

BTW, folks in Vegas called it:

Dawgs still play D or at least they did today vs Memphis.

Tigers still have one more Q1 opportunity with #17 Ole Miss visiting FedEx a week from today. Hopefully UofM can bounce back and slow down the SEC juggernaut just a bit before it’s AAC play the rest of the way.

BTW, unranked Mississippi State actually higher in NET at #20 than Ole Miss at #27, so loss today will hurt some.
