DeCourcy (Fox) and Palm (CBS) also have 13 SEC teams in their respective NCAAT forecasts. So what? In the end, the MBB Selection Committee will decide who’s in and it will definitely be SEC and Big Ten heavy.

Sweeney showing his P5 bias. He had dialed it back but with NCAAT just around the corner, not surprised it’s coming to the fore. Yes, subtle but definitely there. And I had just gotten to the point of reading his stuff again!
Today’s Afternoon Rush lobbying for the Heels to make the NCAAT. 
Al thinks Heels get in even if Duke beats them again!

UC San Diego is definitely a feel good story this season. From D-II to the best men’s basketball team among the city’s now 3 D-I programs in just five years.
BTW, “little” UCSD has an enrollment of 43,000+ students, making it the largest school in San Diego as well as in the Big West. Would have to think the Mountain West could be interested with San Diego State jumping to the Pac-12.

We recruited Rishwain. Has had an injury riddled career so good to see him going out on a high note.
I think people also forget just how damn good of a school UCSD is… it’s usually in the top 10 of public universities in the country per US News…

Niners and UC San Diego have a couple of common opponents this season - Utah State and Hawaii. We were 0-2, while the Tritons went 3-0, including an 83-44 win in the second meeting with their Big West conference mate from the Aloha State.

I definitely wanted Esten more than Mike. But I certainly wasn’t alone in that thought, as NWA’s post shows (I could post a bunch more from multiple threads).
I personally wanted Danny Morrison:
But Esten was my 2nd choice.
Those old threads are kind of heart breaking to read. If you feel like going down the rabbit hole you can see so many times where our administration made a bad decision and our fanbase saw it coming, even tried to rally against it.
