That’s funny! I’m usually the one who’s disparaging Kevin. 
Anyway, I used Sweeney as the example of a non-biased talking head since he thought Drake should be in the field win or lose today, while Norlander was questioning their resume as an at large.
FWIW, Drake was seeded as a #10 in the 2024 NCAAT, so Sweeney is thinking that will be the case again when the 2025 field is announced a week from today.

Soon-to-be CUSA and sub .500 Delaware takes out #1 seed Towson in the Coastal. Will play for CAA title tomorrow vs CofC or UNCW.

Just reading up to remind myself about the circumstances behind Scott Cross getting fired by UT Arlington in 2018. Seems the school prez had the idea that the school could be the “Gonzaga of the Lone Star State” and that the alum who was the all time winningest coach in UTA history couldn’t achieve that dream.
Anyway, here we are seven years later, UTA has had one winning season since and finds itself in conference limbo with the WAC losing members left and right. And Cross is going dancing with Troy as Sun Belt champs. Karma if I ever saw it!
I will always believe that the tournament should be about teams like UCSD and UCSB, and not some bottom half power league squad that went 1-12 against good competition. “Who have you beat” somehow doesn’t seem to apply to the latter. They get rewarded just for playing Q1 games. Ridiculous.
What about consistency? These teams winning upwards of 30 games are playing great every single night.
