You never know how these things play out. I have no doubt the motivation was to make a quick hire and that being a goal. However if your
Preferred candidate that emerges from that ends up not being available or not announcing until a certain date then you wait.

Was wondering that myself.

Pulling in a successful FCS head coach on the come up would be my preferred route.

And he’s in the southeast.

Perhaps he’s totally happy where he is and not in the market.

But yes he’s an excellent candidate if he as in the market.

The Ohio HC, who is a winner or any of the successful FBS HCs will be able to warrant a 5 yr contract, can we offer that?

Albin actually has the team that Biff wanted, dominant defense, control time of possession with the running game, with this style, if Albin is our next HC, I would think that a lot of Biffs players would want to stay and play in this system, especially Rutledge and Wilson, and the offensive linemen, maybe Albin can persuade some of our portal defections to stay

Word on the street is “Albin is the new Charlotte HC”…although, until its announced, anything can happen.

Modern day Christmas miracle: Albin announced new Coach and announcements followed up by Purdie and Blake expressing excitement about being part of next year’s team under the new coach. All of the recruits then sign and we get much more during Spring signing day. Get OL and K back from portal, keep RB corps and get quality transfers.
I am going optimistic this year instead of normal “how will we be Niner’d next?”
