Good luck Purdie!! Really hope he gets the coaching to allow him to get the most out of his potential. Remember, the plan was to red shirt him this past year. You can only get some of that from practice, hope he gets some playing time somewhere, if not FLA.
Based on what I have seen elsewhere, most of the players who transfer up will become backups, 2d or 3rd string. One or two may start, though. Starter or backup, they get their NIL money.
I’ll try to remain optimistic like many on here. However, I am starting to get concerned. We were recruiting talent beyond our means. Results were not what we had hoped but in line with expectations when Biff was hired.
I don’t care what kind of coach you are, if you don’t have sufficient talent you will not have good results. Biff was bringing in the talent. He just needed to improve his coordinators.
Say what you want to about Biff but he was bringing in the talent, and doing it in less than 2 years. Remember, his first year he got a late start.
Im confident this staff will bring in talent, and properly coach them up

I’m trying to figure out the OC hire. Waiting makes it seem like he wants someone that is still tied up in a bowl / CFP game. The downside of that is that many players may wait to see who we hire before they commit.
So what, go over to the 247 or on3 sites and watch the numbers coming in daily. Still, lots of activity happening. Then a second portal opening comes into being in April.
And then opens again in May. Plenty of time.
Was it Biff needed better staff or was he a poor leader? Yes he brought in talent but teams were undisciplined and he was gone during summer camps.
Then those kids miss the semester, that is why the NCAA opened it up earlier this year to be able to get the kids registered and attending classes and ready for spring ball.

Right the second portal opens * Spring: Wednesday, April 16, 2025 to Friday, April 25, 2025. The second portal guys miss the entire Spring season.
Spring practice starts March 28th '25, your spring game is usually 2 weeks after spring practice begins and you get 15 practice days during that 30 day period.
The original question was, is anyone else getting concerned we are not getting any players signed and the talent level seems below where it had been previously? I basically said I was and I am.
We are where we are but I think a lot of people were hoping (me included) a lot of players were going to jump on I-77S drive down and turn left on Harris Blvd to campus.
Feels like we are way behind and it doesn’t seem like '25 is going to be a fun year. Our early schedule is brutal and against some loud fanbases
