Honestly, Purdie has more NFL potential, but for us next year, I believe Loftis or one of the other QB’s give us a better chance to win.

I think it’s a great fit for him. He will thrive and be in position for a higher profile team like Georgia or Notre Dave down the road. Not many QBs have his arm strength and height and athletic ability.

I thought that as well. We’re going to have to re-calibrate our thinking into what a players is now, not what they can become since it’s a one year deal.

Very odd. He was a Healy guy that played from 2020-2022. What has he been doing since then? This seems like a good use for the portal, to try to get a second chance, but the portal is very crowded this year.

Unfortunately, that’s a tremendous loss of talent. The coaches also brought in a lot of talent to replace these. Is the new talent as good as the old? Almost certainly, no. I think it’s a given that next year’s team won’t have 18 players who could move to P4 or the NFL. Does that mean that the team is going go be worse? It could, but not necessarily. Did the old coaching team get everything out of the players that left? Will the new coaches get everything out of the returning players and the new players? The answers to those questions will determine whether the 2025 can do more with less, or whether this will be a not very good year.

Great List Carl. I usually wait for the final Spring Roster to get posted, but this is helpful.

I think you have Mack listed twice for the G5 transfers.

Here’s the Spring Roster per the AD… which does not include all of our commits yet.

Sorting by position, we definitely have some holes to fill still. Special teams for sure, but we also need some help on both lines, and especially at LB / Edge.

Couldn’t remember when Missouri State was slated to join CUSA and move up to FBS. See that the Bears will officially join July 1st, but football will remain FCS until 2026.
