If a kid withdraws his name, does that mean he can come back whether the coach accepts him back or not? I thought once you enter the portal that’s it for your career at the school you are leaving unless the coach accepts you back.
Once you have entered the portal, school is not obligated to take you back.
Of course, there is the instance of Niners MBB taking back Dishon Jackson when he got “jobbed” by Texas Tech.
Decent primer on the TP posted last month, which includes this tidbit:
Wilson and Rutledge were not utilized enough in our offense. I’ll never understand not involving those two guys more than we did when it feels like every time they touched the ball there was a chance going to the house.

Good news so far, unlike a lot of teams this morning, especially with new or fired coaches, there is only one new name that has entered the portal and that is Jack Reynolds. Most of our current players are at least wanting to hear what Albin has to say.

Late afternoon and still great news…NO MORE NEW NAMES ENTERING THE PORTAL! This is huge and really surprising with a new coach coming in. Just hope the Albin meeting with the team and individuals is the reason there are not entering the portal. and they are as excited with the hire as fans on this forum.

There is one person we need to put our NIL towards, maybe two. Anyone else can bounce if they want
The reality is that some players will still leave on their own and some could be shown the door if Coach determines the fit isn’t right. And there could be some who might want to stay but their family vetoes that for whatever reason. Not always cut and dry.
