We’re happy we won but we barely beat a terrible team, at home, and only bc their kicker missed 2 fgs. Plus we are all on edge anout who our new coach will be
And could know who that is as early next week. After all, it’s going to be December in less than 3 1/2 hours.
That was one of the most interesting endings to a Niner game.
It was like we were the character of Nick (Christopher Walken) in the film The Deer Hunter. Fortunately we didn’t get as far as the scene where Nick’s “luck” finally runs out.
College football has gone bonkers!
How come the announcers were not Pro Niners?
Enjoy the win people!!
We won two more games than we did last year.
That is a 66% improvement.
If we land a good coach and keep Purdie and Blake we are rolling!!!
Was this the second best football season ever?
By record alone, no, it tied our first two seasons.
But considering the much higher level of competition, yes.
Our fanbase in a nutshell. Just never happy.
This fan is happy as hell and still thawing out. Never seen an ending like that in the Rich. I feel like the tides of Niner football are turning. That was the happiest I have seen Niner fans and players at the end of a game in a long time.
A gut wrenching game and ending. Glad we won.
Now, I’d like to apologize to the lady and the gentleman who were sitting to my left. I’m sorry for all my yelling (deserved) criticism at the team that bothered you to the point of the lady calling me out on my negativity. I’m sorry the team sucked at times so much I felt compelled to yell my displeasure, to your chagrin. I really feel bad that all that bothered you. Honestly. To the point I will try to be more positive at games, and it be reflected in anything I yell at games. Although it will be difficult. Especially when it comes to NINER sports.
GO NINERS!!
clt says leaping is a bs call. you should be able to toss players into the air to block fgs
some random positive observations:
Purdy and Blake had tough first halves, seemed tight, but in the second they showed why they are studs and a special combo.
Sean Brown, great Sr Game, has been clutch all year. Please call Chris Reynolds and ask him how he figured out how to play 8-9 yrs of CFB and come back
Center J King, only returning starter from O line, mentored all new O line players and improved leaps and bounds over last year
RB’s Wilson, Norton animals/bruisers, Specialist Rutledge can take it to the house anytime, everyone knows that.
O’Shaughnessy, my Irish brother, we had some choice words for you after you pulled a couple of Shank…x, I can’t type it. Great game, turned the field, pinned them several times inside the 15, might be in the conversation of best punter in the country.
Ekwonu, great interception on Sr night, congrats, please teach your brother how to not jump off sides and hold on Sundays
Clt Defense, your bend but don’t break philosophy makes it really tough for niner fans and their blood pressure. The rules are stacked against the D overall, but when a team gets in the RedZone you hold to FG’s a lot of the times
Balfour, PWB, Wilford great game, Chantz Williams, dude showed out for his mom on Sr Day, he was all over the place.
.
Coach Brew, congrats on the wins, you deserve a Talk, no endorsement yet from me, but at least a serious talk. You iced a semi finalist for the Lou Groza Kicker of the year award, who had only missed 1 FG this year and he missed 2 in the final 5 seconds by looking at your red screaming face.
Direction of this program, who knows in this landscape? Could be great or … Just celebrate the wins while you can
No way this game isn’t showed on ESPN’s SVP’s Bad Beats this week, if you don’t know what I am talking about, ask a degenerate gambler
Again, what do we have to be happy about at the moment. Im sorry we arent happy about being 5-7
Would you rather lose the game? 4-8? While we’re at it, 3-9? 2-10? How’s 1-11?
clt provides comments from a uab chat page:
I still can’t believe Charlotte fired their coach before we did. I was at least hoping for a Biff v. Dilfer fiasco game.
they’re in control of their programs w/ an AD with brain cells & care about their programs
And we’re not renewing tickets. Either you lose $4 million upfront to get rid of this staff or lose more than that to bring him back. This is not a watchable product, this isn’t a personable coach, and we have boneheads who are uncoachable.
I can look around our stadium and see we’re losing money because of this hire. We had 1 concession stand open on the east side last week. Even the BJCC is cutting hours because we are a dumpster fire.
I’m glad we are losing this game. Expose this coaching staff for what it is without any reservations or fake glimmers of hope.
If UAB doesn’t can the coach after this, we truly are a joke and unserious about athletics.
HE MISSED FG AGAIN! You just can’t out Dilfer the Dilfer
This is an omen. For Delange to be great all year and then a second chance and still miss the kick? Dilfer doesn’t belong in Birmingham.
Ingram’s emails and phone should be filled with irate fans and boosters.
It’s been time to protest.
Ingram responds to his emails. He will talk to you on the phone as well. mingram1@uab.edu
The “Delange Double” will live in infamy
clt says uab was considered the first team to be added to the aac in the recent changes.
