To All of those on this forum complaining about the crowd size, I hope you were there with us. It was cold and I don’t remember when I was so miserable. However, the ending justified the suffering.
Whoever MH and others choose will not make everyone happy. We should just chill and see what happens. It is out of our control.

I was there with you and a few hundred others, maybe 1,000 at the end. I would imagine many that are complaining about candidates were not there with us. Everyone should have an opinion but I agree let’s hype some candidates, not tear too many down and let’s see how it plays out. Somehow, some way, with so few left at the end of the game there was still a line for the bathroom. Never fails. I think some were just looking for heat.

I was there as well standing up top behind the UAB bench and there were 5 very annoying UAB fans…great way to see them go home!

EVERY team in the country can look back and say they could be x and y but for a couple of plays.
It’s football with 18-22 year olds. Anything can happen.
We were a couple of plays each game from being 7-5 or 8-4.

Other than the hospitality restroom area, the restrooms on the concourse were the only source of warmth. Only the diehard fans were left at the end and that is probably why there were such long lines.
It might not have been a pretty win and it might have been a lucky win but it was a win nevertheless. I will take it because a year or even a hundred years from now it is still a W for us and an L for UAB.

So was the leaping call on the first missed FG legitimate? Seemed BS to me. Refs cannot make questionable game deciding calls like that. Mike Hill needs to be on the phone with the conference about this despite the win. Imagine if bowl eligibility was on the line.

I thought you could jump as long as it was clean with no contact. Apparently in college you can’t leap at all.
The leaping rules in football - both NCAA and NFL - go back to 2017, so not like it’s something new.
I agree with you! They are constantly crying on here! If your grammar/spelling/punctuation isn’t perfect either then they will call you out too

We should be crying. We hire terrible coaches, and our athletic director gets the same bonus for a soccer championship as a football championship. I guess we should be happy just to have a team. Also, if you don’t know the difference between your and you’re, that deserves criticism.
Not even close really as far as grammar/spelling. I wish people cared about it that much. They don’t anywhere, including here.
