Got to remember Navy was 5-7 last season in which they lost both games in the annual CIC Trophy series. Plus Midshipmen were picked to finish 11th in the AAC this year. No one really anticipated this resurgence in Annapolis.

I am glad we have a bye week to come off this high and focus on Navy. They run such a different offense that getting ing two weeks to prepare should help.
We will have to be DISCIPLINED on defense.
I do think our offense, given yesterday, can score.

24 hours ago I would have said we no shot, now we got a puncherā€™s chance. This is one of the best Navy teams in years though, so weā€™ll need to be firing on all cylinders to get it.

The good news is that our engine might be big enough if we can.

Unlikely, but if enough teams lose Navy could crack the Top 25 after next week.

With the bye week and Max Brown being able to get more time to recover, who do you think Biff will start against Navy?

Is the locker room now on board with Purdie?

Who would you guys start if Max Brown is ready to go?

Purdie until he has issues. I havenā€™t seen much out of Max that warrants his taking over the QB spot. His performances for JMU and UNC were not that great.

Really difficult to sayā€¦hot hand says keep going with DP, because pulling him now doesnā€™t seem right after the waay he played against ECUā€¦but itā€™s a short leash IMHO against Navy, a much better team than ECU. It wonā€™t hurt the kidā€™s confidence as much because weā€™ve all seen the talent, but not sure about the experience. Personally, in my experience (albeit, college soocer not football)ā€¦the locker room is with whoever brings victories.

My worry with DP now is not should he start, rather whatā€™s the NIL to keep him or MBā€¦

I think benching Purdie now would be bad for team chemistry. Let him play and if he keeps playing like he has the last 6 quarters thereā€™s no reason to make a change. If he has another game like GW you can always put Max in at that point. Would be a little different if Max had been the starter last season but they both came in with a clean slate and so far Purdie overall has been more productive.

Id start purdie until he starts playing bad, but i imagine he will start brown

Personally I really like the 3 QB system. Why play 2 when you can play 3 switch them out every other play keep them guessingā€¦ā€¦

Start purdie. Play hot hand and switch at half at the latest if qb ineffective. Rinse and repeat.
