Iām fine with respect for a storied program thatās experiencing an unexpected renaissance this season. Just think thereās a better way to say so since Iām pretty sure getting routed by a service academy didnāt make it easier for our players.
Or us fans. DAMMIT!! DAMMIT!!
On one side getting ass kicked by service academy sucks because they arenāt using NIl or traditional recruiting. We should have an advantage.
On the other hand, those kids signed up for things far more difficult than playing a stupid football game. Sitting in that stadium seeing not the names of players on their honor wall but of battles fought. Sitting next to two academy graduates that fought in Vietnam one of which was a RB for navy when he was there - yeah losing to them doesnāt bother me at all. If this season and that win brings them and that fanbase joy then thatās awesome.
Was also cool walking in Annapolis after the game and seeing all of the cadets out and every single one of them was respectful and nice.
That got me to thinking about Navy great and Heisman winner Roger Staubach and reminded he did a tour of duty in Vietnam between graduating from Annapolis and starting his NFL career with the Cowboys.
Not the way it went down from what I understand. Biff worked to build the business and helped grow it exponentially.
Not sure why people have Biff hate and try to diminish what he accomplished in his life.
Donāt do this, itās none of your or our business. Donāt bring family into your crap
Iād love to see Navy beat Notre Dame, year end year out one of the most overrated football programs throughout my lifetime.
I have a paradoxical relationship with ND football. I think college football is better when they are good, but I think they are rarely as good as the media thinks and they get shoved down our throats and I donāt like them.
