I still think SMU leaving and being replaced by Army was a massive upgrade for the league. It costs the league less, adds a bigger TV audience, and it bennefits us with another east coast football school.
SMU was nothing impressive beyond a pile of cash. I look forward to them begging to return when the ACC collapses.
I think SMU will fare well in the ACC, but I’m not sad to see them leave. They had that same kind of snobbery and with the direction they were headed in (buying their way to prominence), I really didn’t want them in the league anymore anyway.
If the ACC does implode, I could see SMU landing in the Big XII. Anyway, won’t be surprised if the Ponies have a decent year in their new conference. But yes, won’t miss them.
SMU will be missed for the fact that they always had a lot of exciting offenses during their time in the AAC.
ECU has named their starting QB.
Looks like Army has gotten into our “gold” reserves.
clt says good luck stopping the US Army
clt says that green glitter looks familiar…
Former Marshall QB. RS Jr.
Some more…
I like the ideas.
Happy to see him find a spot, but not crazy that it’s there.
