We ended up with the 7 seed and play UTSA in our 1st game in Clearwater.
The good news: we’ve beaten everyone on our side of the bracket
The bad news: we were 3-6 vs teams in our bracket.

Looking back at the series at UTSA, Game 1 went about as good as we could ask for. The rest of the series, things were pretty bad.
Game 1, Reynolds went 5 strong, then AJ for 3, and Rossi closed it out.
The tourney is being played at Paxton Thompson’s current home stadium with he Clearwater Threshers. Big Maple down there recovering from TJ at the Braves facility.

Rice now winning 3-0 after five innings. Yet to be seen if their pitching can hold EZU to 2 additional runs, but there is hope. Would not be sad to see the Pirates in the loser’s bracket.

Eastern probably had the best 1-2 punch in the NCAA this year with their top 2 starters. After that there is a pretty big drop-off.
Now their #2 is injured and their best bullpen arm may be out for the season. They are in some serious trouble, especially if they have to go on the road for a Regional. You have to win 3 - 4 games in a weekend to win a Regional and right now, they don’t have the pitching.
