Two thoughts:
this is a massive amount of respect from the league’s coaches.
since you can’t vote for yourself, I’m guessing that Godwin couldn’t bring himself to vote for any of the newcomers.
Two more thoughts :
Godwin hates Woodard so he wouldnt vote for us
or any of our guys.
The entire second team should be loaded with Niners
and they might want to make some room on that 1st
team for Langhorne and Rossi !
I dunno about hate, but if you’re used to being the top dog do you really want Woody moving into the neighborhood?
They are clearly the standard bearer. They’re also our version of the Bad Boy Pistons. We’re going to have to go through them.
Too bad we don’t have EZU series at home this season.
Seems like USF got way too many people on that first team considering as a team they were picked almost mid pack.
The way I look at it, there are a few tiers right now in the league for this season.
Tier 2- teams in the mix to challenge for the title:
Tier 3- New Coaches- not sure what to expect
Tier 4 - ???
Any word on January scrimmmage dates and times yet ?
Not yet. Should hear something soon. Can’t wait to get started!
I’m really looking forward to hearing Nate on the 26th!
Got our tickets to both the softball celebration (Friday, 1/19) and baseball’s First Pitch Dinner (Friday, 1/26) a couple of days ago. The proceeds from these events have a very real effect on the advancements being made in both programs…and, they’re a lot of fun, as well.
The Niners will have several Quad 1 & Quad 2 games on the schedule this year.

More on the minor changes:
That’s interesting. If they did that in basketball with the NET, it would greatly reduce home court advantage for the so called power conferences.
Which means it’ll never happen.
Baseball is still one of the few real college sports.
Attendance numbers from last season:
We rank 6th in the new AAC. We should probably be 5th, but it would take every game selling out to move into the Top 4 based on current stadium size.
clt says that is interesting. the author should have compared attendance with having a minor league team
most of the schools with strong crowds have nothing else to do
in the spring we all want to pound gold rushes and eat peanuts while watching baseball
Surprised by how well some of the Sun Belt schools draw (with exception of USM and CC). And how little the attendance is in the A10. Glad we are out of that league!
I’m not buying about 90% those numbers.
We have 550 lower level seats at the Hayes and 550 upper level seats, and then SRO area. I think it is reasonable for us to have 1000 season ticket holders. Students get 1 section in the lower level.
