Those Davidson guys had to get home to do their laundry.
No he’s not a defensive specialist but he is a really good defender. He’s in a huge slump right now and seems to be pressing. He swung at some bad pitches last night. I’m hoping he breaks out if it soon.

Nolan was really good at first base last year. Made a lot of run saving/hit robbing plays. If I recall, he started very slow last year at the plate, but heated up as the season went on. Hopefully he will get on track soon.
24 runs is more points than we put up in 8 of our football games in the fall.

I did pull up the record book last night to see if we were approaching any milestones
The most runs we’ve ever scored was 32 in 1995 vs APP STATE.
Most HR in a game is 8 in 2022 vs MARSHALLL. We hit 5 last night.
We did tie a school record with 3 HR in 1 inning.

Yeah, he’ll get there. He only has one less hit than Cam Fisher did 4 games into last season.

Didn’t the Mountaineers steal a lot of bases in last year’s series? Am I remembering correctly? If so, hopefully Hopson has improved at throwing some guys out.

Nice announcement of a 7 inning double header on Saturday.
Baseball plays a 56 game schedule and we came into the season with 55. So an additional game against a quality opponent is good for SOS.
