Crouch returned to Charlotte last year with the intention of playing at UNC Charlotte, which hired Biff Poggi as the new head coach.

ā€œIt turned out that I wasn’t eligible to play,ā€ Crouch said. ā€œIt is as simple as that. I lost all my grades and what happened was I couldn’t get a grade dropped from my record from Lansing Community College. I thought I was going to be able to play. I even saw my name on a locker and everything, but it didn’t work out.ā€

Was hoping he’d get eligible and play here. Super talented. Maybe he ends up here in the end. No idea what eligibility he has left after this year.

The article says he has two years of eligibility left. Which should be. Because of the Covid year.

The statemens about ā€œlosing his gradesā€ and not being able to get a grade dropped at a CC are odd.

If he gets his academic house in order at JCSU he should be able to transfer here for his final season but there’s no guarantee we will have PT for him. Although it seems likely we would have a spot for him for one year if he’s good at JCSU.

One good year in the AAC could put him on the draft map with his pedigree.

How do you lost grades?

No clue. Maybe he meant transcripts?

This was surprising. He was the all time single season passing leader for Tx State. Thought he’d go higher than a CUSA team.

Wouldn’t have minded getting him here.

Does WKU have it in for Veltkamp?

First they play the coaches nephew over him and try to turn him into a tight end.

Then he amazes in the Toastery Bowl and he pulls out of the portal.

Then they recruit over him through the portal?!?

This is a guy I wonder if we’d get involved with. Baltimore kid. had offers from Pitt, Rutgers and WVU coming out of HS.
