We need to win at least 3 out of 4 of those AAC home games in 2025. Will USFâs name stadium be ready by 2025?
A good 3rd quarter song isnât necessarily a hype song but it can be. The most important part is the crowd engagement. Michigan does mr bright side, Florida does I wonât back down, bama does Dixieland delight, Wisconsin has jump around - the common theme is engages the crowd, gets the singing or jumping. Thatâs all that really matters. Journey is the only one on their list that can do that, but itâs way played out.
It has to be forced to some degree since it has to be played over the speakers by the AD. Jump around got picked just because an AD dude sat at a bar juke box listening and watching in Madison. No crowd vote. On the other hand Michigan students begged Michigan to play me bright side and they did and it blew up.
You canât have a song tradition and suck. If you are getting blown out by the third quarter nobody will be there to sing.
FYI - Goodmanâs daughter is an IU student.
And speaking of sportswriters and their college age children, Adam Zagoriaâs daughter is at Davidson, where she is a pole vaulter for the Cats.
As far as the song goes.
Too bad it has to be an actual song and not a chant.
Some intrepid soccer fans tried to get this going a few years back in soccer but I donât think it took hold.
But this would be perfect for us.
Not played out. Unique on this side of the pond as far as I know.
Adapts perfectly for charlotte.
Did anyone suggest come on Eileen by Dixieâs midnight runners. Everyone loves that song and itâs super upbeat and happy.
clt says this guy could be of assistance as well
âHeart of Goldâ by Neil Young
â Gold Dust Womanâ by Fleetwood Mac
âGoldâ by John Stewart
â Diamonds and Rustâ By Judas Priest
âLive and Let Dieâ by Wings
It isnât gold themed, but Iâve always like Welcome to the Jungle by Guns N Roses. I think we used to use it at basketball games several years ago. It may not be appropriate for the 4th quarter, but always enjoy hearing/singing along with it.
My wife ordered for my birthday which happens to be game day and she was told it may not arrive until Tuesday September 10th.
She just emailed them and they assured us it would arrive in time since we ordered it by the 20th.
I appreciate the effort in trying to manufacture some âtraditionâ but you just canât manufacture traditions. It is especially hard when you are not winning very often.
Any âtraditionâ started by an internet poll is destined to fail.
Also, I think we are being trolled by someone. How the hell did âThis Townâ get voted this far?
No Vaseline
I love that song.
Good taste, if you like Big Country and Sports songs, Big Country v1, The SkidsâŚ. played at New Orleans football gamesâŚ. https://youtu.be/wT9eQ2smjUM
