Is UCONN and the Big East at an advantage in Basketball? They do not care about football and only need to spend NIL on basketball.

This may be the deciding factor to force more structure around NIL. It will depend if the SEC and Big Ten thinks it is a problem.

In theory yes.

But it seems likely to me that with their smaller alumni bases that they have far fewer resources than the massive flagships in the B10 and SEC, so is their net NIL for hoops better? That seems unlikely but thatā€™s total speculation.

I think itā€™s a factor in them being able to stay competitive in hoops for sure.

Iā€™m a little jealous if some of the Big East programs.

Being in a very competitive hoops league that is multi bid and has championship pedigree and being able to play competitive FCS football (Villanova is who Iā€™m thinking of here) seems like a nice place to be.
