I think villar will play a decent amount, even early in the season
In his pre season interviews he keeps hyping the returnees, including a big man, not sure whom that is?
Of course this hype makes us nervous, we were all thinking the newcomers were so good they would be top 6 or 7 in the rotationâŚ..
All right guys, so whom are the predicted starters tomorrow?
That would be Richart, though as Fearne has mentioned, isnât 100%, so donât expect to see him tomorrow.
FWIW, starters for the NCW exhibition were:
Blackman
Mingo
Bradford
Elliot
Bonke
If butler plays, I wouldnât be surprised if he starts over elliot
Need to Win this one, the ESPN predictor (which is meaningless at this stage), has us Winning this one and going 4-6 in our first Scheduled 10 games.
New assistant Brett Carey had a stint at ISU:
Carey spent the previous four seasons (2017-21) at Indiana State under Greg Lansing. In 2020-21, the Sycamores led the Missouri Valley Conference in turnover margin and advanced to the league tournament semifinals.
I had asked earlier about the game being televised and thanks for the replied answers. For conformation, ESPN now lists the game on their schedule being televised on ESPN+
One of my favorite days of the year (at least before the game starts
)
I am excited to see how the team performs with the new players Fearne brought in. Itâs interesting the ESPN predictor has the spread at 2.5 but gives us a 77% chance to win lol.
I also thought the 2.5 spread combined with a 76% chance of winning was curious and a little funny.
Please donât suck. Please.
Former Niner Sterling Young one to watch:
Indiana State played in an exhibition at Butler on Wednesday, October 29.
Indiana State was led offensively by Sterling Young with 15 points on 5-for-12 shooting from the floor and 2-for-5 from three. Young added six rebounds and six assists.
Hope the team comes together.
Used to be so excited for the first day of basketball. Not so much these days, but would be nice not to suck.
Torvik metrics forecast an 82-76 Niners win.
If things go by the ânornal scriptâ in these situations, Young will have a âcareer nightâ, whatever that amounts to.
Youngâs career high is 37 pts.
As the womenâs game is before the menâs, can one get into the arena, say at 7, if the womenâs game hasnât ended? I only have menâs tickets. I seem to recall it shouldnât be a problem, but looking for more confirmation than my poor memory.
