Realize Butler has been down as of late but gotta think the Sycamores are going to give it their all in this Hoosier State showdown. Should provide some idea of what to expect next Monday even though tonight’s exhibition will be played under non-standard rules.

See that the Sycamores are being assertive about NIL.

If that is all it takes, I’m ok if our coaches look like they are about to jump in a nascar race. :chequered_flag:

Indiana State watch party that’s also an NIL fundraiser for the Sycamores.

I assume there is no tv on the Indiana State game?

This will be the third all-time meeting between the schools and first since Bill Foster coached a Niner squad including George Jackson, Lew Massey, Cedric Maxwell, Skip Shipman, and Melvins Watkins!

Since ISU is having a watch party in Terre Haute, it’s being broadcast by someone. Probably ESPN+. At this time, neither team has posted game notes with broadcast info.

Seems like the game notes blurb about Larry Bird entitled “Larry Legend” could have mentioned he had a Celtic teammate who is a Niner legend (not to mention past NBA Finals MVP instrumental in getting Bird his first NBA championship ring! ).

Thus could be a good year with all the international players. May be more a fit for Fearnes coaching style which if it has the ingredients will be tough to defend

Just my opinion, but I consider the Spaniards as the only “true” international players. All the others, especially the Canadians, are pretty well versed in American style hoops at this point.

Minus the aforementioned Canucks, Bonke is likely the only “international” who will see substantial PT - at least initially. As such, the four freshmen are probably going to be doing a lot of observing, cheerleadering, etc.

Of course, all speculation on my part. Just think that once Fearne determines the most productive rotation, there’s just so many minutes to go around with a 16 player roster.
