Last time Niners hit 17 3s was vs Rice in Halton on Feb 11 2016.
Also Nov 25 2002 @ App and Dec 2 2000 vs South Carolina.
Only thing that bothered me with this game is that we really could not pull away from them in the second half. Both teams scored 45 points in the second half.
Positive things, shooting overall much improved, free throws being made (even though not many fouls called), and defense more aggressive. Surprised that Lafayette had as many rebounds as listed.
James Jones and John Salmons though I could have sworn Darius Rice (who was a McD’s AA) made it to the league too.
Guess I was wrong - we hit 16 threes that game. And we beat that with 17 against Eddie Fogler’s South Carolina team in our next game (got him fired). We had so many shooters on that team. It was ridiculous.
I’ll never forget that South Carolina game. I actually got a large group to go to that game from work. That was one time when things just worked out. Truly enjoyed that one.
Fogler got ejected from that game.
Fogler had my all time favorite quote from a visiting coach after that game. “I see why no one from the ACC will play these guys”
Looks like the crowd of 1900 may be the lowest in Halton Arena history outside of covid. Although it is hard to physically check every game
Honestly, 1900 feels generous.
The crowd improved as the game went on but not sure about the 1900 number either. I was a little shocked how empty it was at the start of the game.
With both teams shooting the ball well and not many fouls called, that was one of the fastest games I can remember.
Them cajuns wasn’t ragin very much

That’s not surprising since our offense operates around making 3-5 passes before shooting
