When he first came onto the court I immediately thought sideshow Bob
Our defense needs a lot of work and the offense doesnât appear to have a game plan. We just passed it around until someone eventually had to shoot a 3 and luckily we were hitting them. I know itâs early but we just didnât look like we were disciplined or well coached. Hopefully that improves as they play together more. We wonât win many conference games playing like we did in this game.
Our defense was great early in the game. When bonke had to come out if the game, i feel like it threw us off on both ends.
clt assumes you mean 77?
You know, Iâm cautiously optimistic.
dare I say, this group really reminds me of a Bobby Lutz team. Lots of 3 point shots, very good ball movement, and we have some athletes.
we were too sloppy with the ball last night, and I think weâre really struggling with our defensive concepts, but those are both things that can improve with time.
We lack a primary scoring option on offense, but thatâs not necessarily a bad thing.
if we play like this, I fully expect to beat some teams we have no business being on the court with, but also probably lose to some teams we have no business being on the court with.
it does feel like a Charlotte team. Iâve missed that.
And just wait until we get Mading and Gomez. Then I think our offense and defense will improve
I wouldnât be surprised if gomez redshirt. Doubt he would have contributed this year anyways
Agree. Iâm high on this group even after last night. TTU basically fouled so much it couldnât all be called. I thought their #11 could have fouled out twice. It got in our heads which you could see by how many frustration type fouls we had. It also affected our offense. I bet we learn from that.
The defense was really good the first 15 minutes of the game. Once we have Mading back, I think we wonât have quite the drop off when Bonke goes out.
Through two games and an exhibition, we are hitting our shots. We have scorers like we havenât in quite some time and it looks like they have the ability to play D too. I think the ceiling is high on this group, higher than weâve had in years.
The 3rd and 4th fouls called on Bonke were ridiculous given how much they were letting TTU bump and hold us. This had a huge effect on the game.
Sloppy with the ball handling, though they were fouling us a lot on drives. Not sure why we wouldnât get those calls on our home court.
Really hate the way our guards play D. A lot of reaching in, gambling for steals. Just not moving feet. Not sure how much of that is quickness of smaller opposition, but have to think that is going to hurt us against better teams.
Liked seeing better shooting, that can make up for bad defense somewhat.
The Charlotte 49ers menâs basketball team has never trailed in a game this season

clt says grade the win
I mean, with davidson, va tech , utah state and Memphis, there are wins that would look good on an at large resume, just not sure if we play enough of them this year
After last 20 years take any freaking win!
Like this team and interested in how they can come together. Nice mix of youth, size, and scoring.
Not crazy about the Sweet Georgia Brown weave we run at the top of the key for 10 seconds with no movement towards the basket.
After first 2 games think our conditioning is not there yet. Noticed before halftime of ISU and 2nd half of this game.
Ballhandling and distribution from the guards are a concern. Not sure why we had Bradford bringing the ball up late in close game when he does not seem to have the handles.
Dribble drive continues to kill us.
Fearne definitely recruited our shooting concerns away compared to last year.
If Bonke stays out of foul trouble like our chances with Davidson.
clt says never apologize for a win
Not correct they were down to ISU 8-4 on Monday about 2 minutes into the game.
Oh man, my app said for that game the largest lead was 0 for Indiana State. Well. Whatever I guess
2,699 in attendance for this game. Down from 3,255 against Indiana State.
Avg: 2,977
