2025-26 49er MBB Game #20 vs Tulane 1/23 7:30PM ESPN+

We started sitting on the ball. My point is why start doing that. It’s like playing prevent defense. We take what was working and go into a mode of playing not to lose. It has been endemic for a long time. I’m sure Mingo did not decide on his own to stand there with the ball and run clock.

Fearne may have wanted them to go faster, but he also is deciding when we go into prevent. I want to step on throats instead of run away and hope they can’t catch us before the buzzer.

We won and I’m glad.

Fearne was pushing last night to go faster but Mingo and Bradford kept walking it up. He took Harrison out for walking it up.

Thanks Run! Damn what a collapse in 37 seconds.

clt Ʈs impressed by the Tulane guy playing so well in long sleeves

We actually still lead by 10 until they hit a short jumper with 14 seconds to go, cutting the lead to 8.

Ditto D’Angelo Alexander. Don’t ever recall him getting called for it during his two seasons in Niner green. Haven’t watched enough of his daughter Justice’s vid to see if she does it too!

Mingo has some push off in him as well, though he’s gotten some calls against him.

lol. True. But it only counts when the opposition does it!!

They were called for carrying/palming on the perimeter which is a rare call. But they are only going to call that push off once per game, especially the jump stop push off to get space.

That one carrying call was spot on. He actually held the ball to his hip as he made a turn. It happened right in front of me.

clt noticed that as well. the ref showed him what he did.

we need a basketball league that actually calls walks and double dribbles. would be interesting to watch

Yeah, frustrating. Walking almost not called anymore.

Walking, forearm push offs by offensive players, moving screens, none of it is consistent from game to game or even half to half.
