Wichita St 22 points off turnovers

Tough place to win, impressive crowd. We played ok for this type of road game.

Was their big guy bigger than Bonke? He is a good player as well.

Their defense was the difference. They played Mingo very aggressively and probably should have been whistled more often.

Bradford was 1-9 from the field with three turnovers and four fouls. Bonke with 4 points and five turnovers. Hard to overcome poor performances by two of our best players.

Game goes EXACTLY as Vegas wanted. Thanks Fearne. Thanks refs.

Bradford has no business playing that many minutes.

That loss was avoidable. Shame.

Yes, but atleast 2 of Bonkes turnovers were weak moving screen calls.

The night went as poorly as possible for us.

Kiss 1st place goodbye. Doubt we see it again.

Bradford’s out of control drives to the basket against bigger more athletic players drive me crazy. He doesn’t even attempt to pull up for a midrange shot or even try to get open behind the arc. And at this point it’s so predictable I’m sure the other team sees it coming. If that’s all he’s going to do on offense he becomes a serious liability. And I wish we knew what is going on with Mading. We need a backup for Bonke who can defend in the paint.

Mading is buried in an unmarked coffin below the dungeon underneath Fearne’s doghouse.

I’m almost hoping it’s a grades issue with Mading, because at least that would make sense.

I agree. I hope it’s grades and not some little things he hasn’t done to get on Fearne’s good side. It seems like Fearne, like Sanchez, really plays and favors guys who don’t always appear to be the most talented on the court. Harrison and Mingo look to be by far our best guards and they don’t even start. It reminds me of all of the players that started over Brice Williams when he was clearly our most talented offensive player.

From what I remember when he played, he was slow, aloof, and out of position a lot of the time. Didn’t seem to understand the plays. Lost his man on defense a lot. Couldn’t shoot, and was weak around the basket.

Not exactly the attributes you want in a center.

I’d agree with all of that the can’t shoot part. Not specifically this game, but this season as a whole

Do schools still monitor grades for athletics

Yes, they do.

I believe some do but there has to be a lot of UNCheat type monitoring with a lot of these schools.

Noo—-I think Mading showed some good moves and a pretty decent shot.

All schools monitor the academics of their S-As. Annual APR scores come out in May.

I don’t think Eyenga at center over Mading is a strictly skill level decision. There’s got to be more happening behind the scenes
