2025-26 49er MBB Game #7 vs Illinois State 11/27 1:30PM ESPN2

Did we lose again?

We need another positive thought thread from the company man

Blackmon was in to try and provide some perimeter defense which is sorely lacking.

But, his lack of offensive ability hurts more.

Feel sorry for you dude. Do you ever have a positive thing to say about anything? Turn on the lights, climb up the basement stairs and get some sunshine and take a deep breath. Life is good if you let it
Hope you can find some peace in your life.

Not sure what Fearne was seeing in there with Bonke against Walker, but Bonke was the ONLY one who was having defensive success against him.

Give us some Gold Standard positivity

FWIW.

The Redbirds – who finished last season with a 22-14 overall record while winning the Purple CBI postseason tournament – return players that scored a combined 1,786 last season (65.49 percent of scoring is back), which is the fifth-highest returning total in NCAA Division I for this season, and the 10th-highest percentage of scoring returning.

We should hang a CBI banner

Walker did a hell of a Clinton Hinton impression tonight. B10 type big boy basketball down low.

This team desperately needs a point guard.

There is no love lost between Mingo and Fearne on the sidelines during the game so far and it is early in the season. Nice….

A leader would also be nice. Bradford tries to play one but he ain’t it. He has a great first step and quick to the rim but his handles and untimely turnovers kill us. Don’t trust him at the line either.

We are giving up way too many points. Dribble penetration all game every game. It is crazy to have Bonke so far out at the 3 point line jamming their guards. He runs out and unintentionally rubs or screens our guards when he is recovering back to the post which allows dribble penetration and no interior presence. The weird thing is I do not see that when Bonke substitutes out.

I like our young bigs, Bonke , Eynega, Gomez, but this team seems to be an island of misfit toys. Run and gun athletes mixed in with Euro bigs on the wing and international kids that have not adjusted to state side hoops that do not know what a good shot is or when to take it.

Not completely lost all hope but light is fading fast…

Mingo was the biggest NIL investment right? He was supposed to be the best player coming in right?

Has he lived up to that?

Maybe that’s the problem?

That’s gonna be the way forward.

If you are paying someone to do something you expect them to produce.

He’s a professional player now. Expectations are high and the coaches and we expect results.

He’s been a huge miss from the portal.

I have not been impressed either.

He looked good in first few games. It’s clear the guy is talented but seems like he doesn’t know how to lead, and is too emotional on the court

clt says we should trade him

I’m sure trading during the season is just around the bend ! :face_vomiting:

Once it’s all just contracts it really can’t be that far off.

I’m not sure whether to feel bad for or commend those of you that watched this game yesterday. I for a split second thought about talking family into sharing the lions/packers game with this. I forgot about it and by the time I realized, I checked the score, and was glad to spend the day elsewhere. I want so bad to have something to root for in basketball or football for my Alma mater!!
