I get why they do this, if you cant compete dont ruin it for everyone else. But it is challenging to sit out the conference tourney as a fan as it can give you hope for the following year.
It does set another level of minimum bar for our Administration, when you dont qualify you really cant explain the season away…
We now dont really expect any more NCAA’s, NITs But we do expect to be a participant in the Conference tourney.
If we are worrying about making the conference tournament, we have a problem. I think we have the talent this year to win quite a bit. Our goal needs to be nit at minimum this year.

I would take these predictions with a grain of salt
I don’t see us being nearly this bad, Fearne has a top 3 recruiting budget from my understanding this season. We should be in a much better postition to succeed.
These are all lazy projections from people doing zero research. I actually expect us to be quite good this year, but the question is, will it be good enough to save fesrne’s job? Also, picking us behind ecu is insane. They lost a once in a decade type talent in felton, as well as some other quality upperclassmen and brought in a lousy class
