$$$$$ and $$$$$$$
Vols pulled a Niner tonight . Wow. That one was so bad, it might have to be renamed.
BTW, watched San Diego State at New Mexico. Thought I’d see Jeremiah Oden play but he was a DNP. Per the announcers, he’s apparently one the Aztecs on the “wrong side” of Coach Dutcher’s cut off line in shortening the bench as the regular season winds down heading into tournament play.
Been almost 8 year since Cross and his entire staff at UT Arlington were unceremoniously dumped by the AD after 3 consecutive 20+ win seasons. UTA now on 4th coach with just one 20 win season since dismissing alum and former player Cross, a 2-time academic all-American.
In keeping with the theme this season that no lead seems insurmountable, CofC rallies from 15 down to stun UNC by the Sea in Port City.
Wilmington Pulled a Niner.

The discussion of the Bruce Pearl comments is probably mostly engagement farming at this point, but if this actually did happen, just shut down all non P4 basketball and only play conference tournaments for a shot at a crappy Tuesday play in game to the NCAA tournament. They would literally be telling around 290 programs that their season doesn’t matter, AT ALL.

Sigh.
Remember when our games had an atmosphere like this?
The whole Miami U “doesn’t belong in the NCAAT” was tiresome even before Pearl chimed in. Just another Billy Packer-type shilling for P4 at-large bid exclusivity and, in Pearl’s case, overtly for a very mediocre Auburn squad that is 15-14 (6-10 SEC).
