2025-26 Niners Basketball 🏀

Speak to me In terms of the NET. Where should we land in the sea of 365 teams?

120 seems like a good goal

I hope we take advantage of the current AAC, we still have access to the dance and numerous teams that can raise our ranking in and out of league play.

I’m hoping to see a team that has no more Ron influences. Haven’t we now switched out about all the original assistant coaches at this point? Maybe Fearne changes things up now? I don’t know, but I want to see something different that includes being competitive.

He made a lot out of our roster two seasons ago. Made them all appear to be all-stars. Then they all left on false promises and left them scrambling. He brought us some really nice international talent and I expect the team to be quite physical. It’s euro ball kind of all-around which is nice to see

We were slated to be the second worst in the conference with 46 votes then we went on a tear and were 4th with a bye in the tourney

We actually finished 3rd that year

Fearne should have been conference coach of the year. He was robbed.

So halftime hospitality going away and limits on the pregame hospitality passes.

LOL

Prices go up, financial commitment goes up, emotional connection to players gone, ability to build a team gone and every year you have no idea if team is worth 2 shits. Suuureeeeeee let me give you more money

I saw that a season ticket holder at Tennessee had to give up the seats he had for over 25 yrs since they made the section a premium seats and increased the seats to over $8k per seat so it is not just us

Yes, they are all gone (save Fearne, of course). Each landed at a higher scoring program than recent Niner teams, which averaged 70.5 ppg last year and 68.7 ppg during the 19 win 2023-24 season.

Kotie Kimble - hired in 2022 by now retired Miami-FL coach Jim Larrañaga. Canes averaged 79.4 ppg during their 2023 FF run and 74 ppg during last year’s disastrous campaign. Now an assistant under Bob Richey at Furman, which averaged 77.6 ppg last season.

Vic Sfera - hired by new Lipscomb coach Kevin Carroll, whose D2 Trevecca team (also in Nashville) averaged 82.7 ppg last year vs 79.3 ppg by the D1 Bison.

Kevin Smith - hired by new Fordham coach Mike Magpayo, whose UC Riverside team averaged 75.2 ppg last season vs 74.3 ppg by the Bronx Rams.
