What? Havenāt you been reading the recruiting/portal topics on this forum? Right now, things are really looking good on paper, and it is still early in the process.

I have forever been accused of overhyping our recruits, but Iāll give my honest grade on our class so far. Iād give it a C. Now, that being said, we probably have upwards of 25 or so more guys to add. If we continue to beef up oline, add quality edge rushers, an eligible version of cheney at RB, and done playmaker at WR, Iāll feel much better
The HS class looks solid. What we will need out of the transfer class is not there yet, though the early returns are decent.

For whatever reason the 2026 recruitment thread has not been populating on my page. Sometimes it only comes up on a login and not to just view unlike other threads, I donāt see it. Donāt know why but it just doesnāt work like others for me.

I see Cheick Kaba listed in the portal. I thought he was out of eligibility, so I wasnāt expecting him back, but he must have a year left. Devin Davis has also been added to the portal list:

Better academics, better conference, better coach, better team, better schedule, more exposure and it is a realistic jump up that I think he could produce at. I wish him well!
Yes I hate players constantly moving but letās look at his path. LSU sees something in him so he goes there but barely plays so he transfers to a lower level team and conference and does well for us this year (not great but solid) so why not move up to a realistic option? I mean him having a solid season for us next year or Duke probably wonāt make a difference for his NFL draft stock but maybe he wants to get some Wins too idk
We beat Duke once. I seem to remember. Not sure everything you stated is true.

Think youāre taking it a bit too seriously. Theyāre an in state rival. Never going to get a reaction other than 
if we lose a player to any of them.

Donāt necessarily believe their coach is better and do not believe academics had anything to do with the transfer. Not really convinced UNC New Jersey is that much better academically. This jump was about $$$.

Manny Diaz is a very solid coach. Heās one of the most underrated head coaches in the country.
I agree with the first part. Not sure their coaching is better. I do get a kick out if people calling them unc new jersey. Itās like saying ppl from north carolina canāt get in.

Many moons ago when I was in college a huge number of students at Duke were from New Jersey. Guess kids from NJ were just smarter than us NC rednecks. Sometimes you just canāt believe the crap that some schools shovel. Just my opinion.

FWIW, largest number of students at Duke are from NC, followed by California, New York, Florida, and Texas. NJ is in top 10.
