Yeah, he got frustrated with not being given an opportunity. He was matching/beating the starter in practice but couldnāt get on the field. Combine that with no scholarship and itās understandable.
Spoke to Bennettās Father at our tailgate and he indicated that he would probably transfer. Might as well go where you can play and get a degree.
I know this isnāt the right place for this query but when I exit the forum and come back i lose the ability to view the 2026 football recruiting thread. I put it in search and it will not populate. Is there any reason for this or am I screwing something up. It did it last year for the 2025 recruiting thread as well.

I mean, the team was terrible. Is there anyone that we DO NOT want to see leave? Other than that I figure losing bad players isnāt that big a deal.
Yeah. There are quite a few id like to keep; eley, Talib, Simpson, kaba, solomon, Nicholas, harrell, mcgowans, taz, green, off tge top of my head

Agree. There are some players that stood out this season and showed a lot of talent and commitment. I would add Cobb and Gainey to that list. I am sure I am forgetting others.

Agreed- while we need more talent at a lot of positions, we need to keep/attempt to retain some players that showed promise.

Donāt forget special teams. I certainly hope Long stays. Iād also like Boyd to stay.
I will say unlike previous seasons I didnāt see many just quit during the games and season.

There are several players who I think would have a decent shot at another year, if they want one. Rutledge would be one. Andrew Adair, Justin Olson, and Jonny King would be three others. Taz should automatically be back, as he doesnāt appear to have used a redshirt year yet. There is also a list of about 17 players who were Seniors or Redshirt Seniors, any of whom might be eligible for another year, if they missed some earlier year due to injury, but Iām not going to look at all of them to see who had injury years, and who didnāt. Iāll just wait for news as to who files appeals for another year, and let it sort itself out.

If he goes, itās fine with me, but I do think that if the O-line is better next year, heāll look a lot better.
We are seeing a few losses, but itās not a flood like last year.
