Most concerning is how the O-Line and D-Lines were physically manhandled

I don’t think it was completely bleak. The playcalling improved in the second half as Fitch became more adventuresome. I have hope that he will use more of Albin’s offense next week. The defense was a fail due to the D-line. They not only didn’t put any pressure on the QB, they didn’t keep the offensive linemen off the linebackers. That has to change, or it will be a long season.

You all got too focused on ā€œcoachingā€ and forgetting that the name of the game today is money and players. All we heard was better coach this, better coach that, and forgot that players have to go make plays. Doesn’t matter if the guy in control has a cutoff shirt, or a suit and tie. Albin won in a weak conference against weak Northern opponents. Football is different down here and we did not retain and/or obtain the players needed to win. People said don’t listen to Purdie to keep him but we should have. It’s all about players man.

Oline and Dline are where games are won or lost

We had the 3rd ranked transfer class in the AAC. No reason to look like this

But you still need to play a qb that can pass. Harrell’s strength is running not passing but we did not use that strength.

They had a new, inexperienced HC and a new roster. No reason it shoukd have went like this

Not being sarcastic, but who exactly at what position was highly ranked in this transfer class?

Transfer rankings are bologna. My eyes told me these players aren’t very talented.

The game was lost on the Ol and DL and QB positions. App has got a pretty good team with some tradition. It is going to take time. You can try to rush it but it is going to take the time it takes.

It’s probably less than ours

App out gained us 587 - 218

Absolutely owned.

I see absolutely no difference between this and Healy or Poggi.

The Oline was rough, and struggled, but they improved as the game went on, and made less stupid errors. The d-line fought hard all game, but never got pressure without blitzes, and rarely even with blitzes. The coaches are going to have a lot of work this week, evaluating where they are, and what they can do with what they have.

It really accomplishes nothing to get pissed off and criticize the team and coaching. We know that Albin’s teams progress as the season progresses. Let’s see how they progress as the year progresses. And we know that teams make the most progress between games 1 and 2. And it is crazy what someone stayed that he could win in the MAC but not here. Coaches get promoted to tougher leagues all of the time and are successful. This is just one game.

I would be shocked if we had more NIL money than yall. We are many things, but wealthy ain’t one of them.

Good game Niners. I was extremely nervous headed into this and my hope was, win or lose, App looked like App again. I’m obviously pleasantly surprised.

I liked your QB, he is tough as nails. Frankly I would have liked to see him throw the ball a bit more, yall seemed to move it well on us especially on those slant routes you kept gashing us on. Part of that might be Albin being conservative but I think you’ve got a competitor under center. He took some big hits and battled.

Good luck on your season I’ll be cheering for you from here on in.
