Nahā¦ā¦..9-10,000
The way I see it we only need the following:
Dual threat QB
Running Backs
Wide receivers
OL
DL
Lbās
Defensive backs
Someone who can tackle
A new OC, DC, and strength coach
We might keep our TEās and Kickers.
I think that might do it.
Thanks to everyone that stopped amd donated food for the student pantry!
You are a much better estimator of crowds than me. Todayās attendance is listed as 9, 831.
Everyone can throw up stats in garbage time when the D is in soft coverage
Carl was not talking about late game garbage stats. He was giving his opinion on which QB may be better playing behind a weak offensive line.
actually he was, he said Wilcke doesnāt panic under pressure and when he runs the ball he gains positive yardage. What I am saying it is a lot easier to do that when you are down 28 in the 4thQ. When the D is rushing 3-4 players, no blitzes and the defenders are playing soft coverage on receivers. You canāt compare the 2.
Wilcke did start in the Army game, so I have seen him in non-garbage time. No, Charlotte didnāt make massive yards against Army with him in, but he had two drives of 11 plays that, while they didnāt gain a lot of yards, they wereāt 3 and outs.
The coaches have picked Loftis as the guy, and I donāt expect that to change. I also expect the results to remain mostly the same, but I hope for gradual improvement.
This one reminded me of the Chapel Hill game. The defense although outmanned battled and kept the game in striking distance if we could generate any kind of offense. Like June Carter told Johnny Cash though, thereās one too many ifs in that sentence. I never felt like we had a shot to actually win it.
UTSA is a middle of the road AAC team, today was another reminder of how far we are away from that. Another thing that wasnāt lost on me is they started their program in 2011, just two years before us. Theyāve played in six bowl games and have been ranked. North Texas who stepped up into the AAC with us now has the second best odds to make the playoffs behind JMU from the G5 (guess 6 now).
I hope we hit a home run with our AD hire because this season could have had some unforgettable moments if we had our stuff together. We canāt keep missing these opportunities.
Will be G6 next year with the ānewā Pac-12.
That was the most frustrating game of the season for me, at least since the first two games of the year when I still had a little optimismā¦I was hoping to see Wilkie in the second quarter, he couldnāt had done worse offensively.
I felt the same way, just more numb. Our offense is brutal. I did see some bags on heads in the stands. Canāt blame them. I Canāt imagine there are worse teams in FBS but I hear there are. God bless their fans.
Iāve been around sports for 50 years and donāt remember a program with less of a buzz around it
Gonna say it again, Sean Brown is one of my favorite Niners in recent history. Wish he was going out on a better note.
Why does Charlotte have such a problem with audio. The RICH has gone down hill throughout the year, and I feel like I need a hearing aid to keep up with the volume issues during the press conference.
I hope he gets a fair shot in the pros. I think he could surprise some people.
Did anyone see Jaylen White at our game? I wonder what his current mindset is and how he is doing? His Clearwater FL team is still in the playoffs I believe
If he was there, heās probably thinking that he could be the starter next year. Heās going to be a great one, in my opinion.
What have you seen of him that makes you think he will be great? Whatās he offer? Style?
I have only seen his Hudl, but he can pass and he can run, and he seems to make good decisions, plus he gets style points from me because he plays like he is focused on winning, and when he takes off to run, he runs with purpose:
He also is highly rated by the recruiting services, and has a ton of offers, including USF and Tulane.
