Not that many seats have been sold in the bleachers. We should fill them with students.
Yeah I have noticed that tooâŚmaybe a bunch sell next week but so far most of those seats were still available.
Bill is horrendous with dual-threat QBs. Look at Cam Newton for that
clt says bill went from a respected coach to a joke.
didnât win anything without brady
He always has been a joke. You ever see the video of him making a PB+J sandwich when he was the Browns HC?
While Albin was at Ohio, Ohio beat Penn State at Penn State in 2012 24-14. That was the introduction to head coaching at the NCAA level for Bill OâBrian, formerly the OC for Belichick. In 2005, Ohio beat Pitt. That was the second NCAA game coached by Dave Wannstedt, who was formerly head coach of the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins. In the Penn State game, Ohio was the clear winner, but the Pitt game was a different beast. There were three TDs in the game. Pitt scored on a 95 yard return of the opening kickoff. Ohio scored two, both on pick-sixes by Dion Byrum, one in the opening quarter, and one in OT.
There are a few points here:
- Albin is not going to be intimidated by a P4 team, nor by an ex-NFL coach
- NFL coaches donât always smoothly transition to the college game, particularly in the first couple games
- Any team can beat any other team on any given day
- Special teams and turnovers can determine the outcome of a game
We got greedy. Those seats would have sold out in a day if we werenât trying to gouge our fans
We have new financial gurus that have the mentality of the lady who runs Cracker Barrel. They have screwed up basketball hospitality with greed this season and also are greedy with the Carolina tickets. All they know is how to put numbers on a piece of paper, but they have no concept of how to build a fan base.
clt says most UNC CHeat fans cannot afford a $20 ticket
Looks like we are trying to find blame, but if we canât sell out the Carolina game why are we expandning the stadium? Not a popular opinion and I would love to have a stadium full of Green, but I have no problem with the Carolina game being a Money Grab.
The two biggest issues are ticket price and the App game tomorrow. Iâm sure alot single game fans were more willing to fork out $75 to catch App-CLT in uptown vs. $125 for UNC-CLT on temp Bleachers.
Those temp seats are for Tarhole fans anyway. Weâre trying to price gouge them.
Weâve reached the level of 49er support weâre going to get at normal ticket pricing. If I didnât already have FSLs season tickets, I wouldnât pay $125 to sit in bleachers either.
That game will be full, I think. It CERTAINLY will be full if we come in 1-0.
Ticket pricing was outrageous for both games. You have to offer reasonable prices to expand the fan base. You can still charge a lot for the premium seating but it is a failure that the upper deck isnât open at BoA and all those temp tickets arenât gone. I hope we learn a lesson going forward but it stinks not to be able to capitalize fully on these two games.
It looks to me like a ton, like hundreds, are available for resale from season ticket holders grabbing them when they opened up. I donât blame them, but those people have some involvement in this too. It created an illusion of demand that raised prices. I hope they sell them and there are butts in those seats.
Our fans who bought those extra tickets hoping to make a whoring buck will unfortunately end up selling them to tar hole fans. And probably not getting what they thought they would out of them. What a debacle.
How much would it cost a family of 4 to catch this game all in? This is probably a $600 event.
clt says raise the tickets even higher!
