Injuries are unfortunate, but they are a fact of life. The team needs to overcome them, and continue to improve.
Looking over Robertson’s stats and last season he had 6 INTs total, so having almost equalled that number this year is something of a head scratcher.

GO NINERS!
“contusion”…… a bruise.
Here’s the full injury report from Hunter Bailey instead of just that snippet I shared earlier:
I’m surprised King is questionable. I expect him to skip this game and maybe even Rice due to the short week.

Oh wow. I wonder if this was a large concerted effort from this coaching staff and AD. I wasn’t too surprised to see this for the UNC game, but this is different

IDK, seems pretty normal to me. Even in an NIL world, recruiting good athletes is critical. This year it will be even more important than usual, because they need more recruits. Remember than all those that were recruited in 2020, and who got a covid year will be done this year. Also done this year will be those recruited in 2021. With double attrition, all teams will need more players, and it will be very difficult to find good players in the portal.
Charlotte will lose about 27 players to eligibility, and hopefully no more than 10-15 to the portal. That means they will need 40 more players, and the portal won’t be a good place to find them.
This will forever be the fate of the majority of programs except Power conferences given this version of a minor league system. You lose your top players every year to the Power Portal that can pay them way more than you can. Then try to find talent at smaller conference schools or High Schools to see if they can make it then lose them the following year as they work their way up through the minor league system.
Sucks
Monmouth’s offense looks to be a test. We will see what has been learned over the last two games.
Good morning!
