Anyone on here doing this?
I considered it but too steep for my blood.
I do have a correction/clarification for the FAQ about the ferry:
If the ferry gets to West Point at 11:00 and departs 45 minutes after the end of the game, you will not have time to explore without missing at least part of the game.
I have heard good things from other fans about the ferry, but it is not a good option if you want to have time to look around post.
Any word on whether Shockley, Tifase, Williams, Solomon, or Irving will be able to play against Army? Hopefully at least one of them will join Kaba, Miles, and Holley at DT this week.
Or a boat!
Good advice. Thank you
Would highly recommend checking on ferry availability if thatās being considered. ![]()
BTW, Metro-North RR has around half a dozen Saturday trains running from Grand Central to nearby Garrison station that are scheduled for arrival at least 30 minutes before the noon kickoff. ![]()
This is the start of a 5 game winning streak here coming up with our new QB! ![]()
Wilcke can win the heisman if he pulls this season around
What are yāallās predictions for this game?
I think Army is going to run our defense to the floor. Iām expecting a 250+ yard run game for them. However, I think Wilcke will continue to shock us and light it up with Cris Carter (Sean Brown). So maybe we retaliate with a 200+ pass yard offense. Their run game will open up the pass because of tiredness, but I do expect at least one interception for us.
Iām gonna guess a 28-24 point win for us. Something in the ballpark. Maybe a missed kick for us somewhere.
You might not even make it inside the stadium before halftime if you arrive at Garrison 30 minutes before kickoff.
Could easily be Rice Redux. Hope not but until we can stop the run, expect the Black Knights to primarily grind it out.
clt has us winning by 5
If we hold Army to 250 yards rushing, Iāll be ok with that because the Army passing doesnāt seem to be as strong as it was last yearā¦Army is a disciplined team that regularly gets 250 yards on the ground. If we can hold Army to under 400 yards, we have a shot I think.
For the Niners, 150 on the ground, 250 in the air, I think we have a shot. I think this game comes down to turnovers and penalties (can say that about most competitive games)ā¦I donāt mind hustle penalties, itās the presnap killers we gotta avoid.
I think itāll be a good game, Wilkie seemed unfazed coming into the game and with a weekās prep, I have to think the that the staff will have a good game plan for him (letās hope so anyway).
Letās just pull a Tarleton State instead of a Niner.
This is Armyās game plan always. You could have your third string discus thrower and backup libero playing corner due to injuries and Army would run the ball.
Some games, you perfectly described our QB playā¦and our libero corners have typically played too far off the receiver to be able to stop the run or passā¦
After the first drive by Rice we did a decent job of stopping their run game up until the Harrell injury. After that we just couldnāt keep our offense on the field long enough to keep theirs off the field. It seemed like Rice had 3 or 4 good drives, but that was enough with our crappy offense. If somehow Wilcke can play like he did against USF and our defense can learn from mistakes made against Rice we might have a chance.
I would like to see a game where we donāt get off to a rough start with a bunch of three and outs. Iād like to be in the game not falling behind two or three scores. Cut down the penalties. Team should be learning how to play together better by this point in the season.
Headed to West Point this morning. Of course, there will be several tourist stops along the way, and then on to Boston. Go Niners!
