One thing I will be watching for this week, is how Braden Mullen performs on defense. He wasn’t much of a factor earlier, but I saw him a lot against USF. He has 8 tackles on the year, of which 6 were against USF (2 solo, 4 assists). Was that a fluke, or has he (and/or the coaches) figured out how he can be a major factor?

Stopping the run has been Charlotte’s biggest problem, and Army is the wrong opponent to face in that condition.

This is an interesting match-up, historically. Charlotte heads to Michie Stadium this week for their first ever game against the Black Knights. They’re also trying to secure their first win against a service and/or service academy team. They currently have two losses to Navy and one loss to the then-505th Parachute Infantry Regiment about a year after the regiment returned from serving as an occupation force in Berlin.
