Itâs wild the lengths to which UNT and UAB are going to get people into the stadiums. But it is neat. Kind of shows theyâre all-in to the new conference and everything. I think they figured the move up would mean immediate interest.
I guess it may also help keep Memphis, Tulane, and the rest bc theyâll be playing in full stadiums at home and on the road. ESPN probably also prefers having their broadcasts inside full stadiums.
Doubt it puts many behinds in Protective but does allow UAB to inflate attendance figures. Of course, the school and associated health system contributes $12B+ to the local and regional economies, so city still comes out way ahead with this $200K expenditure.
BTW, wonât be surprised if Blazers donât win another game this season.
Would have thought the Black Knights were happy with the win today, even if it was vs lowly UAB. Now have to wonder if Blazers will pull the plug on Dilfer before seasonâs end.
