The weather is supposed to be nice and we are tailgating tomorrow. Would love to drink a beer with some of you knuckleheads.
That was a great performance last night. There were a lot of text messages flying around talking about Blake having a great game but never mentioning the no-hitter until it was over. It was causing quite a buzz outside of the Hayes. Hate I couldn’t be there. I didn’t realize it had been 87 since our last no hitter. Hell that pre-dates my time on campus. I can’t believe a pitcher like Mills, Walker or Macijewski never had one.

Wow. Quite an accomplishment. I pitched in High School and had a couple of 1 hitters but a no hitter is so very hard to do. He was also very close to a perfect game. Congratulations on something very few at his level achieve.

Hard to ask more from our pitching than we saw this weekend. Switching up the rotation worked out well. 3 great starts:
Gillespie- no hitter
Kribbs- 6 IP, 2 R, 6 k
Perez- 6.2 IP, 0 ER, 2 H, 8 K
The bats are starting to come along. We won the series with one of our best bats Gunderson, missing the first 2 games.
Great start to this stretch of 8 games in 10 days.

No doubt…our best weekend in a couple years. Would LOVE to win both weekday games this week as well.

Bullpen only threw 5.1 innings this weekend, so arms are rested for Tuesday and Wednesday.
I wonder if we let Szturma go Tuesday for as long as he can and then a pen day vs Davidson.

I’m thinking that @49erAlumnus needs to start bringing an oxygen tank to The Hayes to show hefty 1st basemen on opposing teams what they might need to make it around the basepath.

I’m just glad that their base coach didn’t throw up a stop at third. Nothing good would have happened after that.
