2025 Charlotte 49er Football 🏈

I’m so hyped for the season to start. But have no interest in keeping up with practices or the spring game.

I got to speak with 49er Andrew Adair after practice on Saturday, and I’m filling out the roster, only the specialists are left.

(Me saying Bowers/Samples/Gibson is a strong combo does not mean King won’t start, I just think this OL room will be very competitive)

It’s honestly a dream come true. He’s my roommate, that’s my best friend. We played baseball growing up, and I never really got a chance to play football with him, and having him come here, it’s very special, getting to share the field with your brother. I don’t know if you saw, but he made a nice catch and I ran all the way down to give him a high five. As a big brother, it warms my heart. It’s a great feeling.

Just wanted to say as the father of 2 boys that play the same sport, this was so great to read. My boys have played their last ever game together, so I know how big of a deal this is.

Coverage is solid as always @NinerLiner . Really like what you’re doing. Thanks for the insights!

We need more players like Alex H. that represent the Niners.

I liked the comments that while QB, and each RB, have different skillsets, they all to improve at where they are weak. That way, if Rutledge comes in, the defense can’t think “watch for a pass or reverse”, because he might take it up the middle, and if Chaney comes in, they can’t think “watch for the zone run” because it might be a pass. It’s important to recognize and use each player’s strengths, but also important to keep the defense guessing.

He is the one I felt had the goods to take us places we haven’t seen much of. I liked what I read about him but we have lots of time left for another to step into the spotlight. It is a good thing we have 3 decent prospects this year.

If NIL was available during his time, he would be representing a different school in the pros

clt isn’t certain about that. he was a walk on here and improved to be drafted.

And he progressed, put up significant defensive number that would have caught the eyes of bigger programs that would have offered him a bag of money to transfer to their school, it doesnt matter if he started off as a walk on, he would have left for the money somewhere else as he progressed

You don’t KNOW that.

I think the other part of that is, does he make it to where he is now if he takes that nil pay day? He could easily end up at a school sitting behind someone else on the bench and doesn’t become what he is in the NFL.

He’d still be the same person and with the same abilities, but does he get the same look if he’s a guy who barely played after the transfer?
