Nice TV exposure but it’s wild that Chapel Hill and Monmouth are the two + games.

Yup love the late kickoffs, will be some epic tailgating for Tarholes. I am also shocked that game is on ESPN+, I thought ACC network at worst.
That’s the kind of game I could see a local channel trying to pickup if ESPN will let them.

We are working on WFNZ broadcasting the pregame show for the app game from the Normbulance tailgate. Not sure if it will work out or not, but we are trying.
Also due to the stadium construction our tailgate is going to be relocated. We MIGHT be stadium side for the UNC game if the fences aren’t up, but our regular home for the next 2 years will be the small lot next to portal. We have the entire lot.

Had a dream (nightmare?) last night about the tar hole game. In it we play very well, and in fact outplay them, but every time we have a big play or score, the refs throw a flag and it’s negated. I woke up totally infuriated. Like in reality when we play them in anything and get ref-screwed. Seriously, I see it happening again.

Yup - its why I have gone from wanting to play them in everything to thinking we should never play them in anything.
Its happened in basketball, baseball, soccer and last year in chapel hill it was ridiculous. I dont see how it will be any different this fall.

It has happened every time we have played them in an otherwise close game in every major team sport since the NCAA soccer tournament game at Chapel Hill in 1991 (which I went to). Will never forget one of the Garcia brothers being blatantly taken down in the box with no call. We will never, ever get a fair shake with them. It’s not a single anecdote either. Body of evidence over the last 3.5 decades (though they love ducking playing us in the first place).
