Ohio recruited not one, but two defensive linemen from Samoa a decade ago, and they used to do the Samoan fight ritual. The fans loved it, but it died (as it should have), when they left. Their ritual only makes sense when you have a Samoan on the team.
Twisted Sister Weβre Not Gonna Take It. Lyrics are perfect for the Niner attitude and I can imagine the whole stadium singing it as the team is running out.
WOW! Would have loved to see that! Agree completely that it should remain a Samoan thing.
Well to be fair I havenβt been watching us on tv either lol. First couple of games I do until I realize we suck then I tune out.
Actually one from Samoa and the other from Tonga, both nations in Oceania. The dance - Siva Tau - is very similar to the Haka, which in the sports world is widely identified with the All Blacks national union rugby team of New Zealand.
I really feel like 1 of our 3 qbβs will end up being a lot better than 117. Not sure which one it will be, but we have much better depth at that position than we have had in the past.
Definitely agree with @MHH2006 here.
Out of curiosity, where does the Athletic have Purdie ranked?
Love it!!!
They have Robby Ashford at #88 as the projected starter for Wake over Purdie.
Thatβs what I thought.
I guess Purdie got a
at least.
At wake? Doubt it. He probably would have gotten more money here. Wake doesnβt put a lot of nil into football
It is a major move and one that we absolutely need to payoff. I think this schedule is going to be challenging but hoping for signs of improvement and a better overall product on the field.
