Our allotment is nearly gone, if weāve sold all those seats in between the two corners where thereās still some remaining it could be a very nice crowd. Thatās basically the whole lower level all the club seats done assuming students are in the end zone.
The 7:00 kick will help with that heat too if itās lingering.
I picked up two tickets for the UNC game for $149 each. My nephews due date is the same day as the game, but I figure worst case I can sell them for what I paid and best case make some money if I canāt make it.
The pricing is stupid though. I get wanting to maximize revenue, and understand a premium on the game, but for these tickets to cost 2-3x normal tickets is a dick move.
It ensures that some of our fans get priced out and UNC fans will snap them up. But ticketing has been doing this for years with dynamic pricing. They are squeezing every possible cent out of every game, profits are prioritized over making sure Charlotte fans attend. We blew selling out homecoming because they were so ridiculously expensive.
On another note I think we should keep that temp seating for the Monmouth game the week after. It is close to selling out. Can you imagine 19,000 fans and 99% of them are ours? Would be awesome
Id say whatever G6 team makes it into the CFP is the one that has a few upsets. There is no easy path to the CFP as a G6. first you need the opportunity then you need to win it.
Thatās very true. But losses blemish a record like crazy. Lose to a P4 team and youāre seen as unworthy (Army), beat a P4 team and lose to a G6 team then itās a fluke victory. Beat them all and youāre in, but thatās unlikely.
I love the strong schedules everyone in this conference is making. I just dislike that regardless of what happens, it will support a narrative that the CFP shouldnāt include all conference champs.
Yeah itās great to see us have one of the hardest schedules in the country. Iāve said this before with the other sports, but losing to huge schools teaches the players more than beating the smallest.
