I donât even think the correct answer is up there. It wasnât the wrong people playing. Itâs that our talent level was substantially below the talent level of the other team.
I also worry about whether we were playing the wrong guys, when it took injuries to finally start green at guard
I donated but absolutely zero shade to anyone who didnât for moral reasons. The Athletic Foundation is also promoting this fundraiser to help the student emergency fund and food pantry, so maybe you can donate to this one!
I decided to donate yesterday. If you donât want to- no judgement from me as I am not one to tell anyone how to spend their money.
I donât donate to this shit but trust me itâs not morality, lol. Maybe a principal but screw this fâed up system. I love sports and Iâm not gonna lie and say Iâm going to stop watching, coming to games , etc. but I ainât giving a dime other than overpaying for tix, buying overpriced merch, $10 for a beerâŚ.
More power to people that donate to this. I just canât. I give to sports where NIL isnât a thing, I give to the pantry and needs based scholarships. Winning just doesnt mean that much to me.
I really wish accepting NIL payments invalidates you from getting am athletic scholarship.
I respect that. Winning for football does matter to me and itâs the reason I donated. I do not feel the same about basketball. I still watch and attend
games but I am not as invested.
Football winning g is just more important. It can fund hoops

I hope we keep him. He was fun to watch.
For the folks donating to the NIL fund - is this new money or just money you would have donated anyway, just being directed to this?
I ask because in the early days of NIL schools were reporting it wasnât new money just redirected money. Curious if thats shifting.
For me, itâs ânew moneyâ as I plan to donate the same amount I usually do to secure football parking. Maybe a little more- looking at changing lots next season.
For me it was new money. I donât like NIL but I love my Niners so I had to give some additional $$$.
Wow only 128 donors so far.
I donât like NIL but it is what it is. All the hand wringing and angst over it is not going to make it more palatable. Either we want a winning program and will do what we must to become one or we choose not to work the system and embrace the suck. Those are our only 2 choices as I see it.
If conference realignment occurs maybe it changes things but I donât see it happening too soon.
Exactly. Like it, or donât complain if we fall behind
Hereâs a change Iâd like to see in the NIL system. I think that any team that takes a player from the portal should have to pay 10% of the NIL money to the team from which the player came. That would give the team which lost the player some compensation for having coached the player up, and would help to equalize the system. A G5 team that took in Freshmen, and coached them up would get money for having done so, but would in turn give money to D2 and FCS teams when they took those players from the portal.
Exactly Carl. I have touted that from the beginning when our teams were gutted. I donât understand why this has not been implemented.
