I wonder if Todd Fitch returns if a player like Michael Van Buren would spark interest as I am sure LSU will bring in a replacement for Garret nussmeier. Van buren played for miss state previously too

The defense was competitive in most games, and never quit. The offense, however, was probably the worst I have ever seen.

Too slow, too small, and we need to be better tacklers. Strengthen their hands, their legs and work on attacking. Hit someone and hit them hard. Make other teams dread playing us.

We didnt win a single fbs game this year. What do you really expect, we’ve been bad with no improvement as long as any of them have been students
So there in lies the suck. It takes money to win. Doesn’t take a great stadium, campus, degree opportunities, etc.
Just throw money at it. Hard to do when you just finished with one win. Hard to do when the system is rigged for the Power 4 to take more and more of the $$$s and leave every other conference and team with gaping holes in talent and budget.

What a shame. Just literally zero.zero chance I will “donate” money so snot-nosed teenagers can play a game and learn nothing of loyalty. Not going to happen. Never.
I am somewhat a supporter of the original idea of NIL “Name Image Likeness” where a FOR PROFIT business signs a contract with the kid to appear at their car dealership to sign autographs or to appear in local lizard heating and air commercials. Or for the bigger stars to get paid directly by Nike. But hell no am I going to work my ass off 40 hours a week to then pay some kid to play a freaking game. The world is insane.
Funny how the college game used to be seen as the “pure sport” and professional sports were tainted. No more. I love the NFL for what it is.

I agree. I’m not a fan of this kind of NIL. I really hope something happens soon to get things back to the original intent but I’m not holding my breath. Unfortunately there is so much pressure now to jump in and do what everyone else is doing or just completely get left behind. I’m afraid if our revenue sports don’t get more support we will be one of the first to get kicked out of a conference. It’s just a matter of time before conferences (ESPN) starts trimming the fat. But I don’t blame anyone for not buying into this messed up system.
