Man they are going to have to move the ACC championship out of Charlotte and on-campus like AAC etc.., Charlotte just cant meet the neutral site environment the other Championship games have.
Actually need to eliminate it altogether. And won’t be the only conference to do so.
The atmospheres for all the other games were fantastic!

Once Jacksonville or DC get domed stadiums I wouldn’t be surprised if the ACC moves the championship game out of Charlotte. Also, who knows how much longer the ACC exists. Crazy things like 8-5 Duke winning the championship doesn’t bode well for the future of the league.

Yeah. I dont think the vast majority of the new members even want the championship games hosted in nc. charlotte was just a compromise for the traditionalists. once the acc is raided I wont be surprised if they move the basketball tourney to nyc or dc. and move the football championship game to jacksonville.

Well, here’s the thing, unless klempzen and crapple hole are in the championship game every year, this is what you get. A game nobody wants to see in person in Charlotte.
I don’t give a rat’s ass.
Charlotte just not a great destination city and then add to it the lack of a dome. Better options in the South or mid atlantic.
Nashville, Miami, Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa..….
But the ACC may be better off on campus.
Almost like we need a dome.
All these people talking about getting rid of conference championship games … What are you playing for in conference then? If you have 18 teams and don’t play most of them, how can you call yourself a conference champion? It was a weak enough claim even with the CCG.
