Question: Do student athletics still have to maintain a grade point average or has all this transferring eliminate that requirement?

Yeah that really hit home after I saw that. We are about to be 1 of 4 FBS teams that have never won a bowl.
In terms of program goals, that may be the first one we want to fix.
The goals for our coaching staff really are that low. Try to move from the group of 4 remaining teams that haven’t won a bowl to the group of 130 that have.
In defense of these Bowl games, there is always some great ones and last nights game was one of them!
As a fan, watching those two freshmen QBs last night was great. Really impressive play by both.
Hawaii has always been a great atmosphere for a bowl game… both those teams run the June Jones Hawaii run n shoot offense.

When half of JMU’s team ends up at UCLA, they’re suddenly going to be good players and the safety issues will disappear.
I have to tell you, I really enjoy not ever having to worry about 49er Football during Bowl Season. Which bowl we are going to? who are we playing? how we match up with them? who’s going to opt out of playing due to portal or NFL draft? etc.. This allow me to spend more quality time with my Family and In-Laws.
